If you're a fan of Mel Brooks, this is your movie. Paws of Fury is a PG Blazing Saddles. The plot is the same as the Brooks classic, but set in a fictional feudal Japan rather than a fictional wild west. The movie has plenty of easter eggs and jokes that the old fans will enjoy.
However, the kids in the audience didn't seem too thrilled with the movie. They laughed at the slapstick humor, but the dialogue was lost.
I'm only giving it 4/5 stars because of the kids lack of attention to the movie. Personally, 5/5, it's a movie I will be buying when it releases on DVD to add to my Brooks collection.
