I never leave reviews but I wanted to because of how much negativity this game is receiving. I LOVE this game, it's the kind of game that I've been waiting to play for almost two decades. Growing up and being a fan of the Flash I dreamt of a game which allowed me to run around the city as funny speedster somehow perform high speed action that feels cohesive and exciting. I realize that is a very specific dream but that's what I remember I felt lol. I also love third person shooters, and this game mixes the two perfectly, it's so fun and silly and satisfying for me personally. I truly dislike how just because some people don't like a specific pieces of media because it doesn't make them feel the emotions or satisfy their very specific taste in entertainment based on their very personal life experiences, they say it's bad and feel the need to really hurt the people who made it for I guess like waisting their time or something. I agree that I've played many games which I've spent way too much money on just to realize I didn't like them and felt gutted having spent money I couldn't really spare. Games which people almost university love, I didn't like them just because they didn't feel fun for me specifically, though I can still acknowledge they're good. I wish there was a much better demo system in place to try any game you wanted just so you'd know what to spend your money on, but I get this isn't as lucrative for companies. However I feel like it may fix these problems of people being so mad at spending 70 dollars on a game they didn't like especially when this is a lot of money for them. But like has been said a million times, every piece of art isn't for everyone. There may be some which is more beloved by a bigger group of people for one reason or another, a lot of it is skill in craft and storytelling, but again a lot is based on personal experiences and taste. I make art that I know isn't for everyone, and I hate it when people leave mean comments, it's truly so hurtful and add to my depression. On one hand it helps me understand what some people may not like, which helps craft more universal art, but more often then not i'm like 'yeah this just wasn't for you dude, and I've heard this comment a million times.' This game is so fun to me and is helping me fight my depression, reground me in my own childhood wonder and have rejuvenating fun, which is exactly what I was hoping it would be. I hope they keep adding onto it and expanding it so I can have something to go back to on days when I finish my work and need to reconnect to my childhood happiness and sense of wonder. Other shows, movies and games may do this better for a larger group of people, but this game does it for me.
