Overall very good political thought review and history, everyone can acknowledge this. But the writer was clearly biased toward the French revolution as far I have read. The writer (in support of that revolution) has just mentioned the thinkers, writers, and political thought of the french revolution which can barely cover 2 pages. On the other hand writers against the french revolution and political thought have been stretched to two chapters and the topic is not finished yet. Upon further reading, I may change my mind and if that happens I will mention that too. From this, I am anticipating clear biased toward Marx and communism.
I have read it further and the writer is clearly unfair toward the french revolution. I have concluded that he is a leftist but to please both sides had moved to the center which is very ugly. But we should praise the writer that he has made justice in presenting ideas as they were, problem arises when he starts to analyze them.
If you want to skip the writer's view and just want his information about other philosophers and thoughts it is a perfect book except for the reader of french revolution political thoughts.
