I don't know what happened to Elisa Lam, but it probably wasn't as fantastical as the people interviewed in this film would have you believe. There is also an ignorance of basic psychological principles like illusory correlations which would have poked devastating holes in the conspiracy theories they offer up over far more likely scenarios. Sometimes the world isn't as interesting as we want it to be, but that does not mean we have license to adjust it to our liking.
