The acting was pretty great, I just didn't like that parts of the story were made up — introducing a girlfriend type character in particular felt very weird as she did not exist in real life. A lot of this show didn't seem like an accurate portrayal of Ed Gein's life. Some of the other parts of this story were not accurate either, it often feels like the writer is trying to portray Ed Gein as some "poor misunderstood shy guy", when he was actually a mentally unwell deluded killer. I've found this to be a common theme with these "monster:" shows and it's rather disturbing.
