Entertaining but forgettable. Without going into the details of the lore and how close (or far) this adaptation is to it, the writing is poor. The elves and Galadriel in particular, behave more like angsty teenagers than immortal ethereal creatures which have been around for millennia. The show is filled with lines that seem like attempts to sound philosophical or deep such as an incomprehensible explanation of how a boat floats or dogs barking at the moon (watch the show for this to make sense). A lot of filler scenes that don't move the story forward distract the viewer from the main pot. The over all plot is not bad though and the visuals are pretty decent (as you would expect for the price/episode). Basically Galadriel is the new Mary Sue character, very much in the vein of Rey from Star Wars. She has no actual flaws except being too driver, and too right about everything which causes her to clash wit the dumb complacent and incompetent male characters. The show is full of forgettable 2020's tropes driven by mediocre writers who express their power fantasies and sooth their inferiority complexes by desiccating beloved franchises.
