This movie was incredibly boring and felt way too long. Its heavy Christian themes were overwhelming, and the story sends a problematic message: it suggests that kids can get what they want by being bullies and intimidating others. For instance, some characters bullied their peers into stepping aside from the Christmas pageant, which set a terrible example.
Even the pageant itself wasn’t unique or memorable—it felt just like the ones from previous years. On top of that, the portrayal of Joseph and Mary as siblings was baffling and completely inaccurate, as they’re supposed to be married.
The movie seemed to promote bullying as a means to an end and pushed a Christian agenda too forcefully. There wasn’t even any witty banter or humor to make it entertaining. All in all, this was a poorly executed Christmas movie and one of the worst I’ve ever seen.
