Couldn't make it past first 30mins. Really lazy writing to set this film up and link it into the MCU.

Not the next gen Nintendo Switch Pokemon i was expecting. Simple DS like graphics, limited pokedex, too short, and too easy. I was a bit disappointed with the pacing of the story as it tries to get you to blast through it too quickly. The developers have created this great looking world, but they don't really encourage you to take the time to enjoy it. Instead persuading you to breeze through all the towns far too quickly with message prompts all over the loading and pause screens. Beaten a gym leader? Quick! Go to the next town and do the same! I found i got to the end before i really had any pokemon i even liked (not through lack of trying either as some pokemon don't show up until you have all 8 badges.) Don't let that deter you though. It's still a fun game. I have enjoyed my play through, but i'm just left wanting more now i've reached the end. I'd really like to see more being done with the "Wild Area" in a future update, as it's got the makings of a great post game social area. It's a bit rough round the edges, but it's got a lot of potential.
