If you've read the book, don't watch the movie. If you were expecting something's like 50 shades or even something with more depth like The Notebook.... definitely don't watch the movie. I was very excited to watch it after the cast was announced. But left the theatre disappointed. There was absolutely no depth to any of the story lines. If I had watched this without reading the book I would have given it maybe 3 stars. Still falls flat. Makes me really sad that Colleen Hoover's break into tinsel town didn't go the way of Nicolas Sparks. Also if your looking for steamy scenes...you won't find that here, go watch 50 shades and save your money. There were so many parts that were left out that I thought were key points. There could have been way more story telling then just visuals. And I found the movie Samara so intriguing and mind changing....so I think that says a lot. Overall I gave it 2 stars for the soundtrack, set design and the physical similarities between young lily and atlas to adult lily and atlas.
