Simpletons opinion... Look I'm just someone who watches movies to be entertained and like Gladiator "ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED!" Yes I Am! At 2:56 min runtime you will not be bored due to the story line and plot development being given apple time to bloom. The Batman is a great detective story and I feel the character development is executed well unlike DUNE. I like how Batman has to earn the respect of the city. Watch the extras after the movie as well. If you have HBO MAX you won't be disappointed!

Meh, not enough character development so far considering there was twice as much in the original movie and it was only a single movie. Seriously watch the first 1984 movie. There is no inner voice which the characters have that speaks directly to the audience and is able to narrate scenes giving additional context to them. In the beginning and later in the movie you get to see a spice guild navagator in action using the spice. You actually see the emperor. The Harkonnens are much more sinister than how they are portrayed here so far. I mean who is going to replace Sting! No mention of the water of life so far, Some aspects are the same but the way the story unfolded was leaving me feeling like so much of the story had not been told up to that point considering the main characters that have died and then it's too be continued... Come on man!
