Most movies for the most part of the 21st century have been relegated to special effects and minimal to none great writing. Most millennials and newer generations have the capacity to indulge themselves in the unrealistic world, while the previous generations relied on historical and mellow dramatic dramas.
With time, psychological attitudes and acceptance change, allowing new ideas and practices to be labeled as being the norm. This causation initially has led to indifference and resentment that results from what is the common factor of human behavioral change and progression, wether developing for the best of of mankind or not, history will decided by the next generation.
So, as to conception and groundwork in Oppenheimer, one can see the combined effort of the past in the use of black and white and story writing, while combining dramatical elements of special effects. The acoustic implementation used brought significant improvements within the film, thus creating an atmosphere of great depth and complexity.
I enjoyed the film to the point that it brought elements of historic importance, combined with 21st century technology. A great movie that elevated the senses while bringing the past alive.
