Just finished watching the play and now Q and A. I’m in Australia at a small town in NSW not in lock down . My reaction is this ; HELL is being locked up in a darkened room with the same people forever and nothing is EVER resolved in discussion , which endlessly loops . Such a talented cast; with just the right combination of talent and menace that is the hallmark of Pinter plays . People in his plays are trapped in a mental condition . So is this a play about dementia ? Aging? The need for communication ? Fascinating stuff. Maybe Spooner is just there for the free grog ! Anyway a unique experience . A strange play .
