While it did make you aware of communication within a family that is needed. It also brought attention to not assume the worst. The book brought out how everyone is unique and needs love. However, on page 6 when the Father discussed that he is an Atheist then turns around and Thanks God just definitely confuses readers. As a Christian if you have a relationship with the Lord, it would be difficult to not believe in HIM yet, Thank Him at the same time? Why not, leave that out altogether. No one was questioning him loving his wife. I want to believe that he ends up believing there is a God. I truly like the part where the dad says: He hopes Utah and Luck doesn't last. There Merit goes again assuming about people being Gay forever. Yes, people do change and come into their Identity about themselves and do find the truth to work on their sinful natures. I do like how the writer always writes of this complicated life, and different family dynamics.
