This is a typical example of the schlock that passes for entertainment in this country. This is outrageously and infuriatingly dubbed as a "chick flick" which should offend every woman on Earth (interesting to note that so many of the "chick flicks" are made by men). But generally speaking, this type of mainstream garbage whether directed towards male or female audiences is usually a painful and mind numbing experience for anyone who has any intelligence. One reviewer on here actually takes offense at the negative reviews and calls them "hurtful". Herein lies part of the problem, a negative review of a beyond mediocre film (or any film for that matter) should not be personally or emotionally hurtful to anyone. It's sad that people view films and the actors in them as if the viewer is a voyeur watching authentic life which could render a bad review as hurtful to someone. Film is an artform (well granted, not in this case) to be viewed and critiqued, etc. as such. Personal hurt feelings due to bad reviews is not the reaction of a stable individual. Another reviewer on here says he's happy that he found the film "easy to follow". If anyone found this film (or any film like it that gets churned out ad nauseum) difficult to follow, I would need to conclude that person must be under the age of 7 or suffering from extremely low iq disorder. People who watch these types of movies should try something like Citizen Kane or The Third Man and really understand what an Earth shattering experience good film can provide. For me, watching this movie was an exercise in standard film mediocrity and it lived down to my expectations.
