Disappointing. I preface this by saying I really enjoyed Wool. Comparatively, Shift was a disjointed mess. Maybe Shift is just how Hugh Howell wanted to describe what he did every single time you started to get a little invested in what was going on. The back & forth happened so much, it provides the reader with no discernible flow. Such a snooze fest compared to the first book. If I hadn’t gotten this through the library & had actually paid money for this, I would have been severely disappointed.
