Absolutely satisfying and enthralling experience! It’s great when you walk out of a movie feeling incredibly entertained and the time went so quickly. Photography was beautiful. Great reason to see it on the big screen. Shows the violent aspect of our society that too many people still choose to disregard and deny. The local community show how ‘difference’ is so threatening to the average Joe! It’s pathetic and unfortunately too coherent with reality! Those who choose to fight back in the face of discrimination, abuse and neglect by pursuing their dreams and talents rise above the mediocrity. Kya did just that. She didn’t allow the misogyny to squash her soul and steal her passion. There are few things more inspirational then someone who challenges the pack mentality and forges their true way. A film showing the contrast between the off-putting, unattractive all too familiar coward and the exhilarating rare person who finds their inner strength to remain unique. This cinematic contrast is not new - however this film presents a singular version on age-old issues. Well done Reese Witherspoon!
