This is one of the only car shows on TV that I actually watch. I've watched Derek on YouTube for years and it's great that he got his own show and is reaching new audiences, It's a breath of fresh air compared to other car shows. None of the "we gotta get this complete bucket of a car done and at the auction in 2 weeks or we'll lose the shop" garbage or fabricated drama, it's just a regular guy who fixes up normal old cars, nothing that the audience couldn't do at home. Plus being from the Midwest I love Derek's humor. It's more polished than Vise Grip Garage but for a TV adaptation it's a great step forward from the overly dramatic and fake car shows of years past.
