While this is no wconsidered an old story and the lore has been adjusted slightly, (10,000 souls are sacrificed to the god emporer now and the timeframe is crunched to be closer to the start of m.41 where as this takes place near the middle) this is still an amazing collection of story's in the grim dark, and grim dark it is. Id say this is not so beginner friendly if your new to 40k but if you got a wiki handy bear by you'll find these dark gritty story's utter captivating and 100% earning their spot in the black library.
