If you're a fan of Frank Herberts Dune series of books, you will likely be as disappointed about the deviations from the story as I was. This also goes for part 1. The movie is visually appealing, but the choice of some of the actors and changes to some of the characters just didn't feel right. For a nearly 3 hour long movie the story also came across as rushed on several parts, undermining the development of the main characters. I would have probably enjoyed it more if I didn't know the original story behind it.
