I had a lot of fun with this game, but the price was not worth it in the end.
Pros: amazing art direction, love the new Pokémon, Pokémon camp was great, the characters were all super likable (except for Marnie she was pretty meh), the exploration elements added into the dlcs really helped flesh out the game, and the customization options were a lot of fun to play with. Though this may seem short I still had a great time albeit it was shorter than I wanted it to be.
Cons: not enough gameplay to be worth the price, the map is literally a straight line, though the towns have character and potential in execution they feel very small and flat (the most atrocious offenders being the big cities where it was at most fourish roads and a garden here and there), the cave system though gorgeous was also minimal and just a straight line which really sucked too. There were obvious animation errors and questionable choices throughout, which made it look embarrassing compared to other switch titles such as botw. But the worst offender was the mainline story, which had so much potential but by the end fizzled up into a nothing conclusion, it was miserable.
