The casting was wonderful and the winter setting in a small upstate NY perfectly reflected the mood.

I could have done without all the mascot drama but overall I liked it. Perhaps being a Boomer helped since all the references were on point for the early '60s. But at its core it was an extended episode of Seinfeld. I like that humor and the over the top acting it needed.

Went in knowing nothing about the story and got to the point where I wanted to scream about sadness produced by the father of the boys as he channeled, bullied them into a career he could never master at the top level, watched what it did to them and never changed. Performances were strong and unusually large number of closeups gave you loads of time to see the boys begin to understand where it all might be leading. Big question however....couldn't producers afford a better wig for Zac Efron. If that wasn't a wig, then big props to makeup.

Ran out of steam on the story side of things half way through. Beautifully shot, great job of capturing early stage of the romance but it failed to give viewer hint of why Priscilla finally left. The character was long suffering from the jump so it was difficult to see what actually was the tipping point.
