Unfortunately, was not the quality or type of Superman movie I expected. The positives are: Nicholas Holt was the star embracing the maniacal and deadly aspect of Lex Luthor. Nathan Fillion was Guy Gardner. The film was a great sponsor for ASPCA! The missed opportunities and failures by James Gunn are: Corenswet’s talent as Superman was wasted on portraying a weaker version of Superman. Gunn made Mr. Terrific look like an idiot when in the comics he is one of the most dynamic and amazing characters. Supergirl is portrayed as a raging alcoholic. Hawkgirl and Lois were character check marks for the cast. I had so much hope for the DC reboot and even stood behind the decision to move away from the Snyderverse. If I were Gunn and Safran, I would immediately find a way to open the metaverse and bring back the Snyderverse. Again, this is only my opinion and there are millions of others who will disagree.
