Utter drivel; just ask one question to yourselves ' how did the power all the electrics in the house, bunker, war cctv and computer suite the outside seaside lighting etc etc etc'? I saw not one windmill (which the aliens would have destroyed because it made a noise), not one solar panel, not one mini hydroelectric generator on the river and no noisy petrol or diesel generated generator. I could destroy the practicalities of their existence non stop; why in the chemist not take all the drugs available not just the one they came fir, why burn 20 candles at once in a room when only one is needed? I could write pages and explain how the film actually sends any thinking person up the wall with its implausability at evry level. I must stop now as I'm now watching the second film to see if it can be as implausible I'm guessing it's going to be much, much worse lol.

Hmmmmm, this film is like going into a modern art gallery; don't bother as it ends up being totally meaningless, over complicating simple concepts and above all so pretentious and look at me I've done something strange, different, obscure so it must be mindblowingly fantastic. I had to watch this dross is five stints over a week just to finish it in case anything happened I may care about. Sadly nothing did. Don't waist part of your life watching this dross.

Can not add much to the criticisms already penned on here as most hit the mark as I saw the film. My advice is; one read the first Dune book, then watch the great 1984 movie which is a much better movie in every aspect to this version, then don't bother watching this remake you will save yourself being disappointed in every aspect of what you will be watching.

What an ending; has to be up there with any ending of any film ever made. Up to then very atmospheric, realistic though plot half way through tad predictable. However, don't let that put you off as the ending is truly dramatic.
