Silksong is a game that does everything in its power to make your life miserable. The experience of playing this game is basically fighting the game itself to continue playing it. It doest want you to be able to beat it. It makes everything as big a headache as possible. Every time I beat a boss I don't feel satisfaction but relief. The perfect thing to show this games lack of care for the gaming experience is the CKK gauntlets. You need to beat 25+ waves of enemies to get to the boss. The floor is spiked half the time. There are are a myriad of examples in Silksong of enemies whose singular purpose is to be annoying and dodge your attacks by flying away to the other corner of the world. The world is pretty and at times it's fun to explore. The second you meet a boss you become disillusioned. You see how the main move of this boss is shooting things that bounce in random directions. "Roandom bullshit go" is a main philosophy of the bosses and regular enemies in this game. I can't wait to beat this game, delete it and never ever touch it again. If I were to summarise my entire gaming experience with this game it'd be the following: "I've not been playing a game, I've been fighting a game which has continually been trying its best to stop me from playing it." I feel as if the game hates me for playing it.
