Merritt's attorney, Raj Maline, was a horrible attorney. Not only did he admit to not doing his job but purposefully left out important information by not calling a critical witness that was in the court room to be called on. If was their main strategy and he threw it out the window. The defense attorney and the judge were in cahoots with the prosecution.
