I can't believe I spent $80 on this game! The previous Batman games set a standard that this game should have followed. Especially for the price they're charging. Fighting feels unnatural and lacks the free-flow that the Batman Arkham games had. For starters, it's as if Brock Lesnar trained Red Hood rather than Batman. He's so slow that I'm shocked his punches and kicks connect. He's also VERY stiff. How was this big loaf ever a Robin?!? He'd be cooler to fight with if they gave him Lesnar's spear move. Nightwing is more concerned with his acrobatics and style than hitting anyone. It's like watching Booker T in full superhero mode. Batgirl is a better experience but her moves are lacking also. Robin is the best all-around character in my opinion, but even his moves are so limited it's like the people who created the moves went to lunch. BUT, before they went to lunch someone thought it was a great idea to cause heros to get dizzy! Freakin' dizzy!?! So you're in the middle of a boss fight and your hero gets dizzy for 5 seconds allowing you to take additional damage?!? WTH!!! Freakin' dizzy?!?
Also, the "Knighthood" moves are soooooo stupid! Red Hood can fly using the same wavy aura that the Scarlet Witch uses except they must have wanted to avoid copyright laws so they made his green instead of red. Nightwing has a glider WITH THRUSTERS but he glides for a little while as the "glider" falls ever so gently. Why does a glider have thrusters and still acts like a glider?!? Guess what? It's NOT a glider! Robin teleports. Yes. He. Teleports.
Positives are that the game puts alot of care into costumes and the story - which are really cool.
If I were you, I'd wait to buy this game when the price comes down. It is NOT worth $70 or $80 bucks! You'd be better off playing Batman: Arkham Asylum or Arkham City over again until the prices comes down. Trust me.
Uodate: So I'm fighting Clayface with Robin and dodging his slams are not successful. What's the point in dodging a huge rock man's attacks if they aren't working. I tried standing away from him but Robin shoots little pellets that cause such a small amount of damage that I'd be fighting for 24 hours!
Didn't Batman train these people?! Where are all the gadgets?! These protégés use hand-to-hand combat, hand guns, and mystic powers. This game is not worth the price!
