This is a great story about the creation of the "I Love Lucy" TV show when television was in its early stage. Everyone knows that Lucy and Desi loved each other very much and had a blockbuster divorce in 1960. We always heard she accused him of cheating on her and to his dying day said it didn't happen.
Lucy felt cheated by Hollywood and was only in less than blockbuster movies. After she met Desi, she fell in love for the first time with him. When Desi was on the road, she would thoughts of other girls sharing their beds with him, and it made her extremely conflicted. She would lose her temper creating havoc on the movie sets. When CBS TV wanted to become an entertainment company, they needed shows like "I love Lucy." You will learn some very interesting factoids during the movie and also realize that she was a brilliant physical comedian. This movie covers the 2nd year of the show and the many obstacles they encountered. Javier Bardem plays Desi to a tee and Nicole Kidman takes on the role of Lucille Ball like a hand a glove. The entire troupe of actors in the "Being the Ricardos" is top notch. This movie is a good movie if you are watching their story for the first time but a great movie if you were in the era of the TV show.
