Benji's character is similar to any normal middle grader in a book. But when Wishville is the surrounding, the story changes. The twist occurs from the beginning, when Benji's friends stop him from leaving Wishville. The first couple of lines in the book give a brief description of the story along with keeping the end a suspense. The dialogues seem very realistic, making the story more interesting. LEAVING WISHVILLE is a must read for all.
