Just saw your show on the VW Beetle. Yes it was commissioned by Hitler but a lesser known fact is how it got its shape.
Its shape was created by putting a large block of Ice in Wind Tunnel and after a while in the high wind situation the ice formed, roughly, the shape of the VW Beetle. That is why it was said to be a very aerodynamics vehicle.
