The performance of Robert Deniro and Joaquin Phoenix was executed perfectly to their characters.
However the built up confusion and anger simmering to Arther’s life prior to his developing character was played out to long.
It was a great story telling of his delusional character with the help of his mother. But the interesting built up frustration and anger towards his failing career as a clown/ aspiring comedian.
Finally towards the movie the lonely ignored Arther. Finally unfolded the truth and has finally embraced his true nature the Joker. Finally a true role where he found happiness in chaos that he had started..
I would rate this 5/10 however my partner rates 2.5/10. It’s TV worthy (silver screen) however not great for the big screen unless you love overpriced popcorn and a coke to wash it down.
