Honestly, I feel like a lot of people giving bad reviews are just people who aren't actually into experimental generes. It would probably disappoint me to watch a horror movie expecting to be scared through cheap jumpscares and gore and then receive essentially the opposite of that.
Anyways I loved the movie and have played it as background ambience a handful of times because I enjoy it just that much.
