Armor and abilities are pretty cool. I like the umbral lamp gimmick half the time. It’s very fun and cool to use as an exploration tool, but losing half your health upon using it is annoying to deal with, and the inability to get out of it quickly without one of those totems is super frustrating. The level design, while I find it fun, is artificially difficult which feels HORRIBLE. There simply aren’t enough “bonfires” which makes progression feel like a major slog given the enemy density. The enemy density is a little overturned I think. There are tons and tons of mobs which all hit as hard as bosses. Also on the boss notes, WAY too many gank boss fights. It might just be me, but gank fights which result in needing to use umbral is quite annoying and feels artificially difficult. Move sets are easy enough to learn and read and I found myself beating bosses which were duels in one go, so using that as a comparison to the ganks feels wonky. They were definitely on to something but the game overall just felt artificially difficult and I found it hard to get my bearings during level progression
