So far enjoying the first two episodes of this adaptation.
The storylines are intriguing and the show is visually stunning.
There are some bad reviews out there but they mostly seem to be personal preference or, in my opinion, people looking to be intentionally negative.
Yes, there is diversity in this that was not written in by Tolkien, but I simply see a "normal for modern times" cast chosen to be good characters, not a woke focal point of the story like the absolute travesty that was the Wheel of Time.
If what you're looking for is a LOR storyline, wrapped in a beautiful show, keeping true to not only Tolkien's writings but Peter Jackson's visions, this seems to be it.
I'm enjoying this much more than I did the Hobbit movies and I'm looking forward to the release of the next episode.
