I just finish watching 13 episodes in two days on Netflix & man did me and my husband enjoy this series. The storyline isn't always going to be what people are use to seeing or expect or want to be so everyone will always have something to nag about but overall it was actually not even that bad and we liked it alot. The last episode had us in tears when billy scarified himself I honestly didn't want it to be him cause he's already been through alot but because he wanted to save the town & the people just shows how big of a heart he had for them. I'm honestly gutted that there isn't going to be a season 2 because I honestly wanted to see more. Also not sure about the negative review's you have to be insane not to like it.I guess everyone just has different taste.
