The people who trash this movie are obviously not into "indie" type movies - as a professional in the film world (and as a movie buff and fan), I can say that this movie challenges the way one perceives things and brings to light real-life situations in a young person's life in certain (or many) households in South-East Asia. Is it perfect ? Definitely not. There are things that can be improved of course (like CGI as some people have mentioned but kudos to the filmmakers for giving it a shot with limited budgets - this ain't LucasFilm or Industrial Light and Magic). Is it a great effort ? 100% yes ! I'd watch movies like these to the superhero trash (post End Game of course) "that" studio is producing these days anytime. To the young actors - know that there's room for improvement but you guys put in a good effort !
