My theater was quite throughout the whole movie: no one was laughing, no one was cheering, and no one shed a tear over moments that were supposed to be sad. The movie Love and Thunder is to Thor (the first movie) and the super hero genre as Spaceballs is to Star Wars and the sci-fi genre. It felt like a parody of super hero movies, not once taking itself seriously. I like jokes as much as the next guy, but to have one every minute that undercuts the moments of the scene is ridiculous to the point where it was no longer funny. For the sake of being a comedy it lost sight on world building and actually presenting a plot worth the price of admission.
In summary:
For the jokes I give a 3/10 because it undermined some heartfelt moments and action, though there was some good lines in the beginning.
The plot is a 1/10 because it follows the new Marvel formula so if you have seen one Marvel movie then this movie will be EXTREMELY predictable. In addition it feels rushed with heavy expositions dumps every now and then, with the ending feeling unresolved and incomplete. However, there is one moment that was decent but I will not elaborate just in case you still wish to see the movie so that way I don't ruin the one enjoyable scene in this train wreck
Rewatchability 3/10 because, as with all other Marvel movies, there may be some easter eggs scattered throughout this film. So if you are into that then it can be rewatched. However, it is not that fun of a movie as a whole, which was disappointing.
Overall, don't wast your time and money. Buy ice cream or something better.
