The show is amazing! I did not like how they assassinated MLK in the pilot episode, especially once it was made aware that the family attends Dexter Avenue Baptist Church on Goat Hiil, as I was hoping they would have found a way to include MLK in an episode. Besides this, the show is fantastic and something I look forward to watching every wednesday each season. I enjoyed that they included the fact that Dean's school was called Jeff Davis, not because I am a fan of JD but because the real JD was opened and given its name as a result of desegregation, which is a nod to our state's backwards history. Hopefully ABC will renew the show for many seasons, and since the family has ties to Tuskegee, they can find a way to incorporate Lionel Riche into the show since he would have been a student at Tuskegee during this time.
