This movie is nothing compared to the first one. I think people are completely forgetting the fact that the first movie was handling the topic of RACISM. That was what the first movie was all about. Things like integration and two people of different races falling in love and fighting for the right to be with each other. The only good things about this movie was the soundtrack and even that doesn’t even compare to the first one. SPOILERS UP AHEAD- The plot was all over the place, it’s like they couldn’t pick one thing to focus on. Addison who has a bunch of friends, a loving boyfriend, and the opportunity to become cheer captain, a dream of hers since she was little decides that It isn’t enough For her once werewolves Try to convince her that she is a werewolf and it doesn’t take much convincing for her. They just had to show up at her house At night, scratch her door, which seemed like a threat, and then she said yep I’ll go with a pack of werewolves by myself in the middle of the night to their den. I liked Zeds character in this as he’s trying to fit himself into the norm and struggles with his true self like any other person. But that was kinda brushed over and rushed back in at the end. Then I was so happy when Addison wasn’t a werewolf. She was ready to leave her boyfriend, friends, and family in the span of like a day once the werewolves told her about the prophecy. She was way to trusting and eager. It was like nothing else mattered. I get that she felt that something was missing, but you don’t leave everything thing else behind. She was being way to selfish. And then Zed had he’s reasons for not trusting the werewolves, but they were never resolved and he just ended up at the factory for the dance number like nothing ever happened. And then there was no point for the whole class president thing cause they never revealed who was class president, even though we can assume it was Bucky who won. But even when the Z alarm went off after the debate, Addison didn’t think about her boyfriend or friends, she immediately thought about the werewolves, like what the heck? The biggest problem I had was that the first movies back story was that there was a freak accident at a power plant that caused a chemical reaction and turned people into Zombies. It made sense. Then they made this one more about magic and just decided to make the power plant powered by the moonstone to add in the werewolves. There is no explanation for the creation of werewolves and that is something that I was really missing. This is random but the blur scene at prawn where Addison and Zed were dancing, really Disney that was really bad. And then the cliff hanger. An alien really. They are trying way too hard to keep this series going. They should have ended it with Addison realizing that she doesn’t need a pack, cause she already has one. She has Zed, the cheer team, Bucky, and her other friends and she’s gonna become cheer captain. She didn’t need anything else. They really should’ve just left it with the first movie, but if they do make a third one I definitely going to watch it, just to see if it is going to be even worse, or if they clean up some of the plot of the second one or even if they make it focus back on discrimination and embracing yourself.
