This show was captivating, intriguing, and kept my interest so that I would indeed "tune in next week". However, I flatly disagreed with the notion that no matter what a biological mother does it's all good and she is what is best for a child. The Asian mother SUCKED as a mother and I was not only disappointed but angry that in the end her theft of the caucasian family's child is romanticized with a water-;lensed scene of them "reunited" in the car. The reality is that a criminally neglected child was stolen by her original abuser and returned to exactly the detrimental conditions (now living in a car and on the run) that she started with. Pearl also, in the end is romanticized into the idea that the life she's had -also on the run in a car- is "better" and "free". I think that the author had some kind of agenda in this line of story that while it might have been personal for her is also dangerously misguided. My four star rating reflects great telling of the story, but points off for it being the wrong message.
