I really wanted to love this show but after the first 10 minutes I knew it wasn't going to keep my interest. The characters are silly and the DMV is not the focus. I thought it would be like Superstore where there would be snippets of how people really act at the DMV. There was a DMV episode of Abbott Elementary (ABC) that would have been a great spin-off...even the DMV workers were perfect. I am really disappointed.

I love it. I haven't watched a soap opera in 20 years. I relate to the characters because I'm from the DMV. Yes, the acting is soap opery, but that's the whole point. Long live the Duprees! Perfect casting and the story line drew me in immediately.

Omg. Why did I binge watch this? Now i have to wait for Season 2!!! This is so good. Jean Smart is masterful.

It took me a few minutes to adapt to the casualness of the acting, the familiar songs, and the somewhat compassionate stepsisters. But, there are a lot of engaging scenes and the diversity is refreshing. It made more sense to see Cinderella have more time getting to know the prince. It kept my attention but I would have loved some original songs.

I missed it the first season but have caught up and I really enjoy all of the characters and the writing. I really hope it's allowed to grow and mature as a show. It needs more time.
