Never have I ever, came a bit close to the thought that, I can like Mahabharta. Quite accidentally, I stumbled upon this book and it changed my perception towards the epic; forever.
Written in a pure Marathi language, intriguingly put plot and the first person depiction lietrally puts you under the skins of Karna. About the book, for narration, plot and character development, their relationships, challanges everything it's a hundred percent absolute perfection.
Before reading this book I knew there was a character name Karna, and he was told to be Daanshur (Benefactor). But while I was reading the book, it literally consumed me. I got to know that Karna is much much more than mere a Benefactor. He is much bigger than I can put here. I always try to summon this character by thinking about him, and the essesnce always spills out of me. I've read this book over, I don't know how many times. Yet I can't have enought of it.
I am always scrupulous of the books for review, and never give five stars. But this case, I can't resist myself.
