I thought the storyline interesting, and having seen a few episodes of the Netflix Bly Manor series I thought I would give it a read. I am not a fan of James' sentence structure; this book has probably set a record for comma usage in a short story. I wasn't riveted to the story and I never cared too much about the characters. The haunting wasn't explained very well, IMO. The ghosts weren't particularly frightening. The ending seemed pointless.
