Not filmed in Africa but a studio in London. It began in the opening credits with 'True stories that actually happened' If they were true stories they would have happened. I liked the series when young, also because at he time I was reading books about the real John A. Hunter, who was a Scot , and a white hunter in Africa. Reason could have been picked because he was about the same height and build as Hunter. Both were large handsome men. They were good episodes. I liked the episode when white hunter Max Early tried to use Hunter as his prey. I would thought that a lot of the stories were probably made up. I would like to see the series again, as a box set. I was conversing with Rhodes Reason's daughter<Rosalyn, on the Internet, she said that somebody ran off with the films.

Very good Western series I always thought Richard Long and Peter Breck looked like brothers.
