Perhaps I’m spoiled by SkyRim, but I find Outer Worlds a bit boring and kind of frustrating. The character conversations are both too vague and way too long. The other characters have a tendency to monologue. Storyline is pretty basic, and moral/ethical choices are too subtle to really mean much. Gameplay is just OK, with enemies that are noticeably higher level than the player in beginning, causing you to die easily and have to repeat really boring sequences many times if you don’t constantly save the game. (Note: DO constantly save the game, autosaves are infrequent and random). Character upgrades are overly complicated and do not make discernible gameplay differences until level 10. After playing Skyrim for a year, and craving something SciFi, this supposedly higher tech game is a major let down.
