as an appliance tech with almost 40 yrs experience, you remodelers and builders need to know that it is stupid to put a refrigerator in a hole that is tight on each side .in time it will swell in the middle and be stuck. i have seen this many times. makes it harder to work on, takes airflow away and hurts efficient operation. cuts the units life span. techs should charge a lot more when they have to work it. if you do things that make it harder to work on then it should cost you more. that goes for stupid engineering too.
