Great universe and level design, creepy and interesting enemies and enemy encounters, exploration is rewarding and amazing and combat feels really good and very responsive.
Maybe I'm gonna sound ludicrous, but as soon as I got to the open world (which happens pretty fast), I got that fantastic Elder Scrolls vibe, of Elder Scrolls had way better graphics and mechanics. Feels great! That sensation that there's is a vast world to explore and you don't know what you're going to find and how many times you're gonna get into trouble.
Why 4 stars? Graphics are inconsistent. Some parts look absolutely stunning, especially the level of detail of most enemies. However, some parts are just plain ugly or low res. If you've aged Cyber Punk 2077 and felt this way, you'll probably feel it here too.
RDR 2 still takes the trophy for graphics and I'm still waiting for a true next gen graphics game for my Series X.
Movement looks and feels a bit clunky. It's way better than any dark souls, but it's not as smooth as in Sekiro. It's hard to explain, but it's like there's no weight to your character. It's feels slightly too light and it doesn't feel and/or look too good.
You get used to it though.
The year is 2022 and you die if you touch deep water... are you serious?! And the worst part: no warning. Such a cheap low blow it's not even funny. Sekiro can swim. So you decide to include jumping, but don't tell us we can't touch deep water. OK!
Other than these minor grievances, the game gets you invested and I look forward to exploring more and more!
