I'm in the minority here but I found the book flat and unengaging. The descriptions were laboured: the one that compared intercourse to a sheep giving birth was particularly disturbing. The narrative voice was boring and the over use of rhetorical questions didn't allow the reader much opportunity to think for themselves.
