Clapped and cried at the end like i did when i first finished LOTR, Empire, Raiders. I think if i had seen BladeRunner 2049 on the big screen i would have had same reaction. Dennis' Dune is a modern Sci fi classic and he has now become the most important sci-fi director we have of our generation. just perfectly cast maybe with exception of Momoa and Bautista. just feels like the studio pushed those guys in too much. Brolin was ok , just ok but clearly Dennis has a thing for this guy since Sicario. Skarsgaard is a genius and Ferguson well there hasnt been a scifi mom like this since maybe Linda Hamilton. Maybe as some reviewers have indicated it is the natural feeling one gets from not having experienced a great movie in a theatre in such a long time. I'm hoping that isn't the case that as a standalone movie it is such an achievement i would have had the same reaction at any point in my life. Counting the days until I see it again and if Im lucky on IMAX one more time. it is a genuinely a transcendent experience.
