No telling what the Elephant Man endured before the story picks up. That Mr Byte there is people like him fueled by hate & alcohol. But the Elephant Man is just Wow what a Spirit & even with all that he had happening only one decent arm.No one says or knows which hand he favored to begin with. Crazy good movie & seeing how he was so terrified couldn't even think to speak or read @ first. I couldn't believe that was Anthony Hopkins but 1980 is a long time ago.
