SPOILER FREE I'll keep it as short as I can I played the original 2013 The Last of Us on PS3 like 10 times. Absolutely loved the story in and out, bought the remaster for PS4, played a lot more times. I can not say the same with The Last of Us Part 2. After an unspecific amount of time I started to just not want to play, but pushed through hoping for light at the end of the tunnel, and never found any. Plot degraded after that time as well. Overall it's not an enjoyable experience. One could argue that the first game was uncomfortable at points, but it had depth and emotional complex, and made you question your morality. However this seems rushed, full of plot contrivances and made for shock value. Graphics are the only reason this doesnt get a 1 star. It's obviously a beautiful game, but good graphics dont make up for all the other places it fell short.
